Shine 03:47
I have come too far to live the death of a rock star so as time passes slow I begin to fill every echo I won't go quiet I won't be silent like a stage without a band a megaphone without a hand now I wanna shine I want the whole world to be mine and I wanna know no matter where these feet will go that you'll swear you'll always be there in the dark for me to find I wanna shine I have come to crave tales of my name beyond the grave so as I play this show I know to smile for radio I won't go quiet I won't be silent like a stage without a band a megaphone without a hand now I wanna shine I want the whole world to be mine and I wanna know no matter where these feet will go that you'll swear you'll always be there in the dark for me to find I wanna shine the world is mine I wanna shine

I've made so many plans after what you said last night I didn't know what to do with my hands wanted to ask if this was alright and I pretend it's impulsive but you already know the truth I just want a picture of us so I can put it on dailybooth now I squeeze your hand tight after everything we did I know this is the last night they'll ever think of us as kids as we drive around and around and around trying to escape this town I can't quite find the words but you listen and get it anyway 'cause who would have thought that two nerds would get to have their day and I pretend it's not a big deal and you don't make a fuss but I almost let out a squeal you changed your relationship status now I squeeze your hand tight after everything we did I know this is the last night they'll ever think of us as kids as we drive around and around and around trying to escape this town trying to escape but we already know the truth

Transistor 04:22
a hundred words to tell this story about a girl and the boy before me a song on repeat for two hours I grit my teeth and I wish it was ours track eleven, 3:48 same old chorus and guitar fade like a band-aid make it quick rip off the knob and enjoy the static we all want what we can't have 'cause we all... live and die on the radio love and cry on the radio wave goodbye on the radio these hundred steps that lay before me I'd walk 'em all if you'd see what I see but just like a stone alone I sit skipping 'our' song when I see you with him counting seconds, 4:38 the record ends but the feelings don't fade take a deep breath hold it in I let it out knowin' what could have been we all want what we can't have 'cause we all... live and die on the radio love and cry on the radio wave goodbye on the radio if only you could hear me I'd show you what I see if given time we could be but we'll never know
